Hi guys I'm a little under the gun here. I searched my owners manual but was unsuccessful. Can someone provide the procedure for putting my 09 Street Glide into transport mode.
Before trailering your bike you need to put it in transport mode. This is the procedure for setting your alarm to Transport Mode when trailering a bike with the newer key fob system.
Arm the System:
1. Turn IGN key to ON and set OFF/RUN switch to OFF
2. Turn IGN key to ACC
3. Press both turn switches. Turn signals will flash once.
4. Turn IGN to OFF. The system responds with 3 turn signal flashes.
Disarm the System:
1. With FOB present, turn IGN to ON.
2. Set OFF/RUN switch to RUN to exit transport mode.
to add to plow64's post, if you are doing a multi-day transport, at the end of the day, take it out of transport mode to activate the alarm again (if you have the siren installed). that way if someone messes with your bike, it'll let you know.
of course, if you don't have the optional alarm installed, then there's no reason to take it out of transport mode. and if you do, you gotta remember to put it back into transport mode the next morning before you take off again.

everything in the owners manual will give you that warning. improper airing of tires? death or serious injury. don't gas up right? death or serious injury. mess up the alarm override bypass sequence? yep, death or serious injury......
Never heard of this. Must not apply to 04 RK.
Loaddit into semi trailer with all other household items, tied it down and unloaded it 7 days and 1400 miles later.
no, it doesn't apply to an 04. this is only applicable to bikes that have the proximity fob aka hfsm (hands free security module) or tssm (turn signal security module).
you'd think that they would put information like this in the owner's manual to save people from this happening.....
oh, wait....
sorry about the battery, hope you were able to salvage it. there's been more than 1 person that has had to completely replace their battery cause they killed it.
