Default Clutch replacement

I have a 09 ultra classic with 68,000 miles on it and want to replace the clutch, I am not a mechanic but can turn a wrench,I have watched a few videos and it doesn't look too hard to do, is it something that I can do in my shop and do I need any special tools, thanks for your help

Replacing the whole shabang or just the plates? Have a service manual? It’s not all that hard. You can improvise on the tool to lock the sprockets. Need the right size socket for the clutch hub. Assume you have torque wrenches.

Figured on replacing just the plates, I do have torque wrenches but will have to order the service Manuel.

The manual will give you step by step instruction as well as all the torque values and tightening sequence for various fasteners like the primary cover screws, clutch hub nut (which is left handed), chain tensioner bolts, etc.

When you get the manual, get the HD manual and not a Clymer manual. Also be sure to get the gaskets you’ll need and fluid when purchasing the plates. If you get them all at an online dealer that offers a discount you’ll save some coin.
