Default O2 sensor question

I have a 2011 road king. I think it has 12 mm 02 sensors. The new exhaust that I want has 18 mm bungs. Pros and cons for Installing 18mm sensors on the bike or welding in 12mm? I run TTS Mastertune and have no idea what goes into upgrading the sensors.

thanks!

the 18mm sensors are not an 'upgrade' to the 12mm. you also have to look at where the o2 bungs are located on your exhaust. the 12mm are located down near the cat converter, whereas the 18mm were located up by the exhaust ports in the heads.

what exhaust are you looking at that only has the 18mm bungs?

It’s a V&H propipe from a forum member. But I figured I had two options:
1. to put 12 mm bungs in the pipe or 2. to install 18mm sensors on the bike

My buddy bought some adapters so he could plug his 12 mm sensors into an 18 mm bung. But that means that he’s running the narrow band in the 18mm location
