My cruise isnt working at all on my 2011 road glide ultra. The engine light comes on after about three minutes of running the engine or riding and it’s throwing a code P5077. Has anybody else had this problem with this code? What did the problem end up being?

Reason: typo
Anything odd with your speedo or odometer? I don't know if input "too high) has to do with pulse rate but if it were mine I would start looking at vehicle speed sensor and its connectors. There used to be a lot of flaky speedos, non cancelling turn signals, and cruise problems that traced back to metal contamination on VSS. Some people cleaned and reinstalled them and all was good, and others just replaced them. At least a place to check. Has the bike had a bath using a high pressure washer or a garden hose? Water can get into connectors and cause all kinds of weirdness.
Speedo and tach are working fine. Ive put a good 10000km on the bike since the cruise crapped out. It happened when I was riding about 15km a day on a rough gravel road for a few weeks. Ive taken the switch apart and cleaned everything really good but it didnt help. I know there is a road map to diagnose the issue but you pretty much need to be a Harley tech to access the appendixs for the shop manual
