Default Legends Shocks

Is anyone here using the 12 inch Legends shocks on their Street Glide? I believe the 12 inch is stock shock length?

I know Legends has and recommends the 13 inch as best but despite being 6' I'm still inseam challenged and need the lower ride height. If you have them do you recommend them? I'm only interested in discussing the Legends at this point. Thanks

I have the Legends 13” on my SGS. Go with this shock. If you talk to Legend they will recommend it. I measured the sag on the stock shocks before I removed them. Legend uses a longer, softer spring that helps when setting the sag. Even though I only weigh about 155#s I was able to set the sag on the Legend 13” to the same height as the stock 12” shocks (same reach to the ground). However, with the Legend I am picking up the extra inch of suspension travel. Difference is night and day! No way I would ever switch out the Legends! Tremendous difference in ride quality. I could not be happier!
I would also consider spending the extra for the Revo-A’s. Having the rebound damping adjustment is a great added benefit!

+1 on the 13" Revo A's. They take a while to get dialed in, but once you get the sag and damping adjustment set they are very nice shocks.

Ok Thanks Guys....I'm told that the 12's sag is 11.5 which is stock and the 13's sag is to actual stock height before sag which is 12 so I'd be losing 1/2 of flat foot? However, everyone including Legend highly recommends I go with the 13's so I guess I'll do that and see about having the seat foam modified the 1/2"? Thanks for the help All and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you ALL!

The salesman that sold me my 14 SG also talked me into going with 13" Legends. He was interested in what it did to the ride height. He measured before and after, was only 1/4" different and that's without me sitting on it. I wouldn't waste my money on 12". Just my opinion.

Would love to hear your review of the new Lefemds shocks - I just ordered new shocks today, from a competitor shock - 3 weeks to delivery.

I have 12s on my 2012 SG. I did take me time to get them dialed in but the ride now is great. No issues for me with the 12s

Pretty much sum's up the truth.

Agree with everything that's been said here. Put the Revo-A's on my '16 and the difference was immediately noticeable. Stays way more planted in curves with bumps, etc. Good news is, they get even better after about a 1000 miles.

As an alternative solution, have you considered getting your seat shaved, around the front of it where your legs go when stopped? May get you that extra stability you're after.
