Staying on the east side near pahaska teepee. 5 couples in 5 cabins. 2 of us will be riding (well 3, as my wife rides her own), the rest are flying in. I’m getting very excited for this adventure!

Sounds your going 1st class Steeler. Your gonna love it. That area is amazing. If you get a chance stop in at the Dash Inn in Buffalo, WY. Get the rib plate. You can thank me later. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

Definitely looking for the buffalo chip experience, not just a place to pitch a tent. For those who are kinda hating on this place, have you ever stayed there?
Since I bought the passes, Im now committed, as they are non-refundable. Now Im a bit nervous on my decision. I guess if it sucks that bad, I can set up somewhere else, but still have access to the venues. (Probably wont, but I guess its an option)
Steelerdude - stay at the Chip. It is a blast and worth the experience. We stayed last year at a quiet camp ground until the Ozzy concert then packed up the tents and headed over to the Chip. It was loud, dirty and crazy. Exactly what we wanted. The people camping around us were all very cool and generous with the drinks. Put my tent right next to a portable generator for an RV and that drowned out the noise perfectly all night. we had a couple beers and half bottle of bourbon in our cooler - they had no issues with that. Don't miss it. You only live once!!
man wtf i went to that website and those prices are outrageous. $600 for your trailer? $1600 for a shitty little 2 person shed? Am i reading that **** right? $165 a person for 3 days at a campsite with no water or electricity or sewer? For the chance to what? See some shitty old bands? What am i missing here?
Price by demand. Cheaper to fill up with fewer customer request/complaint issues.
I stayed at Lamphere's a couple of years ago. It was 80 bucks for 3 nights tent camping. The rules about liquor and weapons are state laws, not specific campground rules. That said, I stopped in Rapid City and got a bottle or two for the night and carried while riding and i never had my bike searched, nor was I frisked. The chip is a different animal so ymmv.
What law is that?! No drinking and firearms, or no firearms in campgrounds?
