Going to buy a LRS shield... is the Elite Polycarbonate the same size of the
re-curve in width? Which of the two more popular and the best value?
thanks
Ranger Rick
The Elite is supposed to have a scratch resistant coating. The standard and Elite recurve are probably the same size. The Elite is more popular with me, but I'm not a value shopper when it comes to motorcycle parts.
The recurve looks good and works for me, take the time to measure so you get a correct size. I think the best way to measure for a new windshield is off of your current windshield using some painters tape and/or cardboard.
They are the same dimensions. They are made with two different type materials. The Elite will flex and bend where the standard will break into shards when bent
Call LRS and let them answer it for you.
It is my understanding they are the same width, but the recurve gives you the wind over your head at about an inch lower.
Forget "Standard"; dangerous, don't even go there. Polycarbonate (Lexan) is the only way to go. AND - what you clean it with will make a big difference in visual clarity over time.
LRS has great folks, great service, and a great product - at great prices.
