Soos makes a footboard extension. Moves it out 3/4" or his new 1" kit. I will be buying them myself, because of the great reviews I have read on here. I would run with the stock bars for a bit, to get use to riding, JMHO. Any bar rise takes a little bit to get use to. Run for a bit without a passenger. Before you know it, you will be riding better. Stick to riding alone, as well. Adding your buddies rides into the mix, just gives you one more thing to work out. The course is good. I took a similar one back 21 years ago, when I first started riding.
Have fun, and be safe. And by all means, watch the idiots. They don't usually watch for us! And, wear all the protective gear.At leastuntil you become more comfortable. They say there are two types of riders: The ones that have wrecked, and the ones that are going to. I, for one, laid my earlier bikes down a few times, in my youth. You have to respect the bike, and be mindful of your surroundings. I also have two young girls waiting at home for me. They still make me call them when I ride to work. LOL It is good to be loved.
