starting up
hi, just put the bike back togethor after replacing bars, cables etc on my 99 RK Classic. Tried to fire it up last night and while it would turn over easily, it wouldn't catch. I noticed that the fuel guage wasn't working so am now faced with removing the ^&*% tank again to join these two connectors up. I wouldn't think though that this would affect my starting problem. Any advice? There is fuel in it and the spark plugs are attached.
Thanks
Pete

basic engine troubleshooting 101
make sure you are getting spark...just having the plugs in the heads doesnt count
make sure are getting fuel...double check that the fule pump is properly mounted in the tank and connected.
