Yes I forgot to say you need the same year axle as the wheel you're using, you can use your 07 calipers as long as you use your 07 rotors. I recommend switching to the Brembo calipers, but you should also use the later master cylinder from a Brembo equiped bike.

The rotors are a different diameter, old is 13.5, new Brembo is 13.8. I did the whole swap on a 2000 bike & there are a couple of different ways to accomplish it, custom spacers & you can use your stock M/C but you have to either clean that & all lines & switch to Dot 4 brake fluid or disassemble the Brembo calipers & clean them. If you're going to try old & new you need to clean very well with brake clean as the 2 different fluids don't mix, you'll end up with "jello" in your system. Since the lowers are the same I think the best way is to use everything from the year wheel you plan to use, calipers, master cylinder, spacers, bearings, & axle. All of those things are also the same up through 2018, only the fork lower changed for the 49mm tubes.

Sorry you're right, when I first did the swap I used the 18" front from a 2011 SG, sorry for the confusion. I still stand with my recommendation to use all the late model stuff, you can usually find the stuff used on ebay, if you're interested I do have a full Brembo conversion left after I sold my 2000, you can PM me if you like, hopefully you got the rotors with your wheel as they are pretty pricey.
