Count me as a member of the "X" generation. I just bought an 06 SG. The original owner bought it for one last ride with some friends. There was only 538 miles on the bike. It has a the stage one screaming eagle up grade, rider and passenger back rests withdetachableluggage rackand the chrome front end package. It is vivid black. I've had it for one week and it is on it's way to the dealer for the 1000 mile check. I sold my 02wide glide to get the bike and I cannot believe the difference in the ride and the handling. I will confess that I'm having some difficulty with the weight of the SG in the parking lots and in stop and go traffic.
when you get it back take it to an empty parking lot and practice stop and go's and slow turning, it won't take you long to get the hang of it and to know your limits with it.
Yea, the baggers can be a bitch to handle.. just remember... dont look straight down or at your tires when you try to turn! I usually am able to sit straight up and turn the wheel as if it was a car in really tight turns...
Just pick a spot where you need to go.. the bagger will follow..

I'd like to see a photo of it with the chrome lower legs.
Congrats Preacher on the X!! I had to get use to the weight also. Went to a parking lot near the house and did some of the exercises
off of the Ride Like A Pro DVD. Just one day of practicing helped out tremendously. Pretty soon you will be handling her like a Schwinn Stingray!!
Congrats on the new SG! Trust me the weight will become second nature soon. Now I just hope you don't get bit with the Ultra bug like I did after I got my SG. LOL!
