That 3rd "hot" blade, as you call it appears to be nothing more that a plastic indexing tab. If you read the product description on the HD site for the fancy LED cord it says it's compatible with all HD chargers which would indicate that no adapter is needed.
Seems like it would be easy enough to call or go by a dealer to ask...

Again, this thread is supposed to be about whether or not there is a CROSS REFERENCE for old part numbers. I have the ability to charge my battery when needed. I'm sorry I ever said anything about the extra pin molded into the plug. I threw a meter on it and it is hot or positive. I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT IF A PART NUMBER CROSS REFERENCE EXISTS!

You're making this way more complicated than it should be. I could find no information on a parts cross reference guide when doing a Google and H-D Forums search. I do know if there is a letter at the end of the part number, such as "A", "B", "C", etc., that means something about the part has been changed. As far as the "hot" pin, I have that on my '14 Limited and it is not used when connected to my H-D battery tender.

Congratulations for resurrecting a thread that was started 66 months ago only to provide inaccurate information. The 3rd pin is not a USB port.
