Hi everyone,
Would anybody know how to get to the float arm in the tank of a 2000 model Road King (carburated). I need to adjust it so the gauge reads a little more accurate than it is now. My gauge is way off. When my gauge shows empty I'm at about 130 miles, and I don't switch to reserve until about 155-160 miles. If anyone has any idea I would appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.
You have to remove the dash to get at the panel that comes off to access the float assembly. Adjust the arm and replace the sealing washers/screws and gasket otherwise they leak.
normally the arm gets hung up in the basket. you might need to bend it slightly or reroute some of the other chit in there. there is about 10# in a 5# sack.
