Default Buying Advice,Please!

Have a 2002 Ultra that I wanted to put a Road Glide Fairing on but seems to be an expensive and intense endeavor.Found a 2008 RG that a Close Brother is selling because he got a 2017 RG for 16K otherwise the 08 would not be for sale. The 08 runs Flawlessly but has 163K Miles ,which is my concern.Do not want to dump a lot of money if things start going south.Should I just save some more cash and look for something with less miles? My price is $4500 on the 08.All Valued Opinions will be Deeply Appreciated.

Save your money or keep what you have. I picked up a clean 06 road glide with 33k for $7,200 this winter. It seems the 8-12k range are where you can find the best deals.

Has the 08 recently had a new or rebuild engine / transmission installed?? If not, I'd pass on that like it was a hot rock.

If you’re happy with the 02 (a great year by the way) but simply want the road glide fairing, I’d swap it over. It will run about $2k with selling off your old parts and would be a fun project. Take the rest of your budget and do some engine upgrades.
