Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing an 08 Road glide with 30,000 miles. I have a dyna to trade, just want a tourer. Anyone have any advice in what to look for with this year and model, any issues and should I be concerned with the mileage? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can't afford a much newer tourer at this point, thanks again!
...... the '08 was a transition year.
.... old frame w/ upgrades to larger tank, better brakes from the '07
...... unaware of specific issues regarding this model year.
........ if it's priced right, buy it & ride it for many/many happy miles.
Only thing I have found was that the sprocket bearing was bad - split in half - caught it when I put new rubber on the rear at 10,000. Runs strong. 6 gal tank, security, cruise, ABS (Brembo). 18mm bungs on the O2 sensors so you can run wide band sensors if you go down the auto tune path.
