It seems like we had some trouble keeping our Senas paired when we first got them. However, after a software update or two we have had no problems.

I have Uclear boomless Bluetooth communication systems for my Road King. My wife and I love them. Once paired, they stay paired. They will pair with multiple units and will pair with other manufacturers units too. We originally got them when my wife had her own bike and we wanted to be able to stay in touch. They have excellent range.

I have been reading a little more and have learned that some systems have vox and others have full duplex. The full full duplex has an open channel and the vox of course does not.

We have the Sena 20s, they have Full Duplex, kicked off by vox. What that means in real life is, my wife can be listening to her favorite music playing from her phone through her Sena headset speakers, but as soon as I (or she) start speaking into the mic, our voice gets transmitted, and her music volume automatically gets lower but remains in the background, and we can talk in full duplex, just like old fashioned landline telephone sets. As soon we both stop speaking, her music volume goes back to the listening level she had prior to us talking. Rinse, repeat. If you want to save some battery life, you can manually turn off the vox capability by pressing the large center button, and to turn it back on again, press the same button again.

The vox functionality may take some sensitivity tweaking in the configuration for each unit to account for wind noise and mic proximity to lips, but it works very well for us as described above.

Our units connect automatically every time we turn them on, save for once in a while, in which case, we simply turn them off and on and again, and that usually resolves it; wireless technology, no matter how advanced we are now, is still imperfect.

Are there any bluetooth headsets that also offer a wired connection via the 7 pin to allow full integration with the infotainment system if one desired that on occasion?

I bought the SENS 20S, after reading about all the problems with water intrusion I exchanged them for Scala ones. Labelled as waterproof
