glad i saw this post, went to dealer today thinking i would get brake pads knowing i have $75 in points but hell no i am not paying $171 for front & rear pads, thanks D2, and hbsoldier3 for the code
Wow, what an unbelievable price on the above pads! I have NO EXPERIENCE with those. I have tried Lyndall and EBC after the factory pads wore out. The Lyndalls were prone to pulsating, like with a bent rotor.. When I replaced those pads with the EBC HH sintered pads the pulsating completely disappeared. ALL brakes wear, that is what they do. Some make more dust than others, some make darker dust than others, but there are no dust free brakes. I stopped "experimenting" when the EBC brakes worked so well, but the above price may push me over the edge to experiment one more time on next pad change.
This is the first time I've heard someone else mention the pulsing feel of the Lyndalls. I am getting that too with the Z pads and the rotor is definitely not warped. Weird, not sure what would make them do that over other pads. Just put them on last July and don't want to replace them.

This is just a guess: I felt no pulsing when I switched to Lyndals but the "feedback" is quite different from the OEM pads I replaced. I suspect the difference you're noticing is more related to the difference between sintered pads and organic ones.
just installed all 3 sets last wk. first test not good. still had air in front brakes.
rebleed brakes. 2nd test ride not happy, did about 10 rather hard stops from 60 70 mph. everything seems fine. I had to rebuild all calipers. my scoot is an07 sg. I think the key is to break them in. I bought the sintered.
kroozeabout.
Thought I'd share my experience with the Lyndall brake pads... I had them on the rear of my 09 FLHX non-abs. I thought they sucked. Seemed like it took over a 1000k miles or so before they started performing and even then, performance was less than OEM. I put about 35K miles on them and the last 5K or so, the performance degraded. When I took them off there was still plenty of pad left. I swapped them out with some sintered pads and replaced the front too. Right off the bat it was a huge improvement. I don't remember the name of them off the top of my head but they were cheap ($33 for 3 sets). My point and opinion is, Lyndalls are too expensive and not worth it.
Really surprised at the disparate responses re Lyndall... Given fancy new rims and whitewalls I'd like to find something with less dust/easier cleanup that maintains at least acceptable performance, but maybe that just doesn't exist. I've put ceramics on cars with okay results--yes there's still dust, but much less visible and MUCH easier to clean, and performance was okay. Any feedback on Lyndall Z+ vs Gold vs Extreme? Any thoughts on how oversize 14" front rotors I'm installing w/rims might change the equation? Other options I should consider?

Sorry for reviving a semi-old thread, but I just ordered the sintered pads from D2. Wondering if anyone has any additional feedback on them now that you've had a chance to put more miles on!

Thanks,

Congrats! You've just wasted $10.... lol
Before installing make sure the pad surface is flat. Use heavy sandpaper or a belt sander. I installed mine without checking. I'm guessing not 20% of the pads were making contact with the rotor.
They will hiss/buzz bad. When first installed don't expect much braking power. After a few hundred miles they don't get much better
Yes, I also wasted $10 on a set of Volar HH pads from D2!!!!
I have 8000 miles on my d2 moto pads with zero issues. They have been great, and will replace with the same when the time comes. In addition, they are more then $10 bucks.
