Brake pad recommendations
Looking at Lyndall pads for my 2011 FLHR w/ABS and leaning toward their Z Plus. Am also installing Ness oversize 14" front rotors and matching stock sized rotor on rear. Thankfully (in my mind at least) my bike doesn't have linked brakes/ABS as on newer models, but that said I'm not always very good at biasing front vs rear braking and tend to be too heavy on the rear--I suspect from early years of learning to ride on dirt bikes... Anyway, I'm also considering using Gold pads on the rear instead of matching Z Plus for a little less "bite" to possibly even out my braking a little. I guess question is twofold: are the Lyndall Z Plus a good option/upgrade or am I giving up a lot of performance to lose the dust, and secondly might different pads front to rear be a good idea? Thoughts? Comments? Alternatives to Lyndall I might consider?

The Lyndalls you're looking at are organic pads and won't have the initial bite of a metal sintered pad like OEM. This is more pronounced when wet so lock up isn't instantaneous upon an improper hard application. For that reason, I use organic EBC pads on the rear of my non ABS 2002, they are cheaper than Lyndalls and perform the same. On my ABS bike I run metal sintered pads front and rear.
I can't say that I have knowledge of which pads leave dust and which ones don't. I am only concerned with the performance (or lack there of) that I prefer.

There are no such things as dustless pads - if there were they wouldn't ever wear out! I have however occasionally had some that gave off an awful black stuff that was difficult to clean off. My current preference is EBC for rotors and pads all round, on my Glide.
