I just pull my muffler off and use a socket & torque wrench. Not a problem.

I was looking for one of these so I wouldn't have to pull my muffler, so I thought I would dredge it up for everyone else. Mac Tools PN KH9636 is not available at this time and HD 47925 is not sold to the general public. (unless you know a mechanic at a dealer) Tool Discounter.com has it at 1/2 the price of Mac tools +SH. Al

You can find an equivalent toolhere. This one is nice because it has the 1/2" square drive for torque. There are othersimilar wrench's that only have 3/8" square drive for torque.

I don't actually own it yet but will in the near future.
I made the mistake of buying the cheaper one with the 3/8 drive, not enough research.[:@]

Bad technical advice, but to each his own... I prefer to put the proper torque on the wheel bearings. Been doing it for 40 years, never a problem.

Yes some of us can, and I use a Craftsman big *** 1 1/2" - 1 7/16" box end wrench. The 1 7/16" end works perfect!

If you grind the sides of the box flush with the handle you dont need to disconnect the mufflers, just pull the suspension down to clear!

That's good advice on a tapered roller bearing but that's not what is on the rear of a H-D. The only thing that is getting torqued is the axle and nut.
