Default Axle Nut Torque Adapter

The HD Service Manual indicates that a torque wrench and Axle Nut Torque Adapter, part # HD-47925 should be used to tighten the cone nut when adjusting the drive belt (Pg 1-21 in service manual). When I went to my friendly HD dealer this afternoon to purchase or order same, I was told that this item was a "speciality tool," and is only sold to dealer service shops....and is not for sale to HD owners or to the general public. I was advised to research Snap-On or Matco tools to find an equivalent.

So, the question is: Do any of you have this HD tool? If so, where did you purchase it? If you purchased an equivalent, who sells it?

Thanks.

Did you check the small tool kit that came with your bike? I had one in mine.

I just take the muffler off and use a 36MM socket on a torque wrench. With them out of the way, the rear wheel is a lot easier to clean and polish.

I don't even take the muffler off.......loosen rear mount...push muff down and tighten axle nut with torque wrench.

I just loosened the muffler like cwilks suggests. 36mm socket is the right size.

You can find an equivalent toolhere. This one is nice because it has the 1/2" square drive for torque. There are othersimilar wrench's that only have 3/8" square drive for torque.

I don't actually own it yet but will in the near future.
