Do you have any kind of tuner?

I was able to read the engine temp with my FP3. Prior to the repair engine, at idle, ran up to 300+ degrees.

Post repair ( new pump), temp would hit 235, then fans would kick on, and temp would start to drop.

No tuner. EITM kicks in like usual . I wouldn't spend a lot of time in stop and go without the coolant flowing.

The system never had anything but factory coolant in it, failed at about 2 years, 20k miles.

Full disclosure... I had never drained/flushed the system, but then... I've never seen coolant congeal either.

Several years ago, GM had a problem with their Dexcool coolant congealing and clogging up radiators.
I had a ZR2 Blazer at that time that needed the radiator changed because of this mess. $800 bill!!
A local repair shop said they change coolant out of GM vehicles weekly and add Prestone.
Is this the problem with Harley coolant?
