they are only a waste of money if your docking hardware doesn't hit the bag covers on your bike!..I mean I could buy a new bike with different bag covers but I kinda like my road king classic...

yeah...I went this route. my docking station is black so these will fit the bill.

I got Chrome ones from eBay same length cheap and they work fine

I have four coming from China that i got for $16.99 from Amazon, Tracking they have left NY this am at 3:02. Slow boat from China but i am in no hurry.

I bet you have spent a bunch more for a bunch less for your bike, I know I have.

I emailed them and they do offer a smooth Black option for the same price, they just haven't added them to there website yet.

yes mine is black too, but the small pieces that bolt to the bracket are chrome, wish they made those things in black too.

that's probably the ones I have too, my only issue was the magnets on the inside tended to stay on the docking hardware when I removed them, I just glued them in and havent had an issue since.
