The over-priced docking point covers that HD sells are three different lengths. Which is which? The dealer parts guys said none of them go all the way over the longer set of docking points to completely cover, and not leave the inner chrome ring sticking out. Not even the ones called large. I got a knock off set on Amazon to try and they covered the shorter ones fine, but left that inner chrome ring sticking out on the longer ones. That makes sense since all four were the same length. Why do they make it so difficult to find longer covers for the longer points and shorter convers for the shorter points? Am I missing something?
I found a company called pro pad that makes the offset set, (in the US), but they charge a $35 surcharge on the $40 set for two longer ones. Plus shipping. Not to mention, they look a little odd with these strange groves in them.
I like them because I dont use my detachables often. All four of mine are the same length and look fine. They are only supposed to cover the black plastic.

Yes, that does look good with a chrome docking hardware kit, but mine is a black docking hardware kit on a blacked out SGS, so the only chrome sticking out is that inner uncovered ring on one set of docking points.

Is it okay if I laugh you mention the price of some docking Hardware covers.
Just bought a brand new Street Glide with all kinds of extras and had the dealer put the stuff on.
Now you are worried about the price.
Good times.
Good point. Seriously, what am I thinking? Actually, I did find some through another poster here that had the offset lengths. Cool looking billet style, and cost as much as HD, so at least Im contributing to the economy. Getting them tomorrow. The company is called Propad. They sell them on their website, but you can pay for them with your Amazon acct. https://www.thepropad.com/billet-doc...ion-cap-black/
