Picked up a 15 streetglide speacial the other day.. It has thunderheader slip ons (dual) and intake along with a "flash". Took to Harley dealer for a full service, (minus shock oil replacement). Picked bike up now its popping and sputtering when rev up, also seems to be running hotter, with maybe catalytic converter smell as well. Pipes seem to be yellow in one spot. Bike got full service etc with synthetic as usual. Could this be the dealer plugging into ecm and possibly wiping away whatever "flash" it had? Should I pickup a tuner Powercommander or comparable to attempt to fix the problem? Stuck on what to do now...
When I got the FXSTC, either the original 103" stage 2 tune was bad, or somehow it was compromised. The Rush slipons turned yellow, blue and purple. It ran hot as hell. Rush sent me new baloney cut slip-ons foc, I installed a new pro tuner, ran it on the dyno. All good since then and kudos to Rush for the great customer service.

OK... what's this "minus shock oil replacement" you speak of...?
Was the dealer trying to push a shock oil replacement as part of the service...?
If so, I'd be afraid to guess what else they may have done to your bike.....!!
I hope your work order has an itemized list of everything they did to your bike... parts and labor... I'd be looking that over very carefully..
If it was running well when you took it in, I'd go back and demand some answers to it's sudden poor performance.....
Did you run it much, between buying it and taking it in for service? Maybe the previous owner had a piggyback tuner that he removed prior to your picking up the bike,
