Put some pics of this up under another thread. This is a 2016 Road Glide with Solar Eclipse paint set, 650 miles. Private owner, price IMHO is quite high at $34K. I've seen a couple of different ones on fleabay, same year at $26K and no takers.
None the less, just looking for an idea if I decide to make an offer. Always had great input here over the years.
........ yeah, there's been a bunch'a money layered onto that frame, but unless the mods are exactly what you'd do to it if they weren't already installed, they certainly are not worth paying full value for.
I'm sure the seller, thinks it a great deal.... but... is it worth that much to you???
would you buy it, and ride it "as-is"? or would you begin to modify the bike to make it "yours"
I'm with hd4ever... it doesn't float MY boat... and there are plenty 2016-2017 FLTRs out there... for less money,
But, it's YOUR money... and your time....I don't think it's worth more than $20 grand...
There are some cool things on there, but I'm not a fan of the bike as a whole. No way the seller will ever get that much. I might be in the market at 20k to 24K, but even then it would not be likely.
Thanks, I look at resale when I buy and take that into consideration. Would I do several of those mods? Mebbe some but good points and just why I'm asking.
If you spend 34k on a bike that most people cant sell for low 20s. There wont be any resale. You would loose out big time. Unless you plan on keeping a bike a long time, accessories really are a waste of money you wont get back. Any style of bike its pretty much the same, it might be more attractive to someone but at over 10k more than a stock one it will never be worth it.
