I just pulled off my CFR mufflers. Wow, they were on the head pipe tight. It took alot of work and WD40 to get them off. Thank god, I have a J&S Jack.
I swear, I don't know how guys w/o a jack do any work/repairs on their bikes and get underneath. Even on the J&S, the bike shook pretty good.
The mufflers are off. I cleaned them up good. Got underneath the bike and did a little cleaning. Now the bike is in the air and I'm waiting for the new mufflers to arrive.
Seriously, every bike owner needs a jack. Doesn't even need to be J&S...
I use some anti seize on the connection between pipes.......makes them easier coming off even if it does burn away......
BTW......just used my jack recently to keep bike off all the water that ended up in my basement with the last two Nor'easters that came through......now another one tonight/tomorrow

I live in the South, North Carolina but originally from NY. I moved here in 2004 and haven't looked back. I can't do those Northern winters anymore, plus the cost of living up there is insane.
I hope you and your family are safe from those Nor'easter storms.
