Hey guys, Looking to get some advice on getting new suspension. I purchased progressive 944 ultra low for my 09 RK. When I finished installing it, I couldnt get the Sag properly. I called progressive and learned that I was too light to get the proper Sag. I dont have time to send my shocks back to them so they could change the spring to a lighter rate. Could one of you guys steer me to a good set of shocks. Reason I got progressive is because I am vertically challenged and needing couple inches off. Ultra low sits 2" off stock shocks. I dont want to get air because its just a little too steep for my budget. hoping to get something under $700. And lowering blocks I have heard SUCKS! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I would just send them back and have them re-spring them or see how much the lighter springs run and use a spring compressor and install them yourself.

Progressive swaps springs for like 70 bucks with a very quick turn around. And your willing to spend 10 times that on new shocks? Believe me, this happens all the time. People opt for the "Heavy Duty" version of something thinking their getting the better product, where as in this case it's simply a weight option. If your looking to slam the bike down to flat foot, your shocks with the right springs will do the job. Don't expect a great ride, because drop shocks don't compare to full length suspension. But you can safely lower the bike with a decent ride with what you got by just swapping the springs.

I listened and sent my shocks back to progressive. Finally got them back and my ride is much better than stocks! Even 2 inches lower to the ground! Progressive should have something in their site about this situation. It wasnt really a complete waste of time but in a pinch, most people would not like it. Progressive however have one of the best customer service out there. They helped me out a lot. So did you guys! Thanks!
