Default Steering dampners

Today while I was riding I transitioned from one freeway to another. As I was leaning into the turn I felt a definite wobble that caused me to come close to losing it.

My bike is a bone stock 2016 Road Glide with about 10,500 miles on it and the original Dunlops. I'd say I was doing about 65-70 and it was a gradual curve.

I've leaned deeply into some curves at lower speeds, no big thing. This was a bit different. Any comments from the veteran riders here are welcomed.

I would check the front tire I had a set that were worn in the middle and when I leaned into a curve at some point I was riding on a ridge in the tire on the side wall and it felt like the bike wanted to fall over took a while to figure it out couldn't really see it until the tire was removed

Tire wear, tire pressure, and steering head bearing preload(fall away test), is what I would check first.
Of course, all driveline and suspension fasteners for proper torque as well.

Don't overthink it. If tire pressure is correct just slow it down. I am on my third Road Glide and yours isn't that old so unless your bike developed some sort of problem, possible but not likely, don't ride it like a sport bike? If you do find something else wrong keep us posted and good luck.

A steering dampner is useful in extreme lean riding. Like canyon carving on a sport bike.

Gotta ask, are you sure it was not the rear that wobbled? Which transition was it, I am in SoCal.

If 65-70 on a gradual curve on the highway is riding like a sport bike, that'd be news to me.

I was southbound 405 transitioning to the 55 north. Carpool lane.

While I felt it in the bars, I can't say 100% if it was front or back.

One thing that surprises me about this bike is that I can motor along at 85 mph and it is smooth as can be. Doesn't feel at all like I'm overdoing it.

The tires obviously show some wear but I've inspected them closely and check the pressure weekly. 36/40. I'll be looking to replace them soemtime soon (Michelin Commander, maybe Metzlers) but in the meantime I will stay focused and keep speeds sane.

I appreciate the advice from everyone.
