Lots of pictures below! If you have no buffeting issues, this thread is not for you. Having buffeting issues does not mean you don't like wind or need to drive your car. There is usually someone who feels that because they have no issue, then those with issues are crazy.
I've decided to post this here because we're discussing this device in other threads on the forum. "MY" issue was wind rushing in over my lowers directly under my fairing deflectors, hitting my torso and rushing up my body and shaking my Shoei Neotec at 70+. I had no issue with 1/2 helmet.
I used DK Cooling wings and they worked GREAT!! I own 4 LRS shields and 1 KW and they all work GREAT! Glide Air Deflector has some great products and they work GREAT! The ashtray/dish works GREAT! I modified the fork fangs (instructions in other threads) and they worked GREEEEEEAAAAAT! The best!! But I didn't like the heat on the right side. So, all of these things work great and may solve your source/issue............but I had to use them all to find out my source of buffeting was different.
So, I'm posting pics of Baker Ultra Wind Blockers. From my understanding, the Goldwing guys know all about Baker's products. These fixed my issue. I'm mainly posting pics because their website shows them in white and they just look so bad in their illustration. My pictures show them in the closed positon....which means they are pointing up to block wind. In the open position, they would rotate downward toward the lowers and allow wind. The way they mount allows them to be taken off in less than 5 minutes if the looks bother you that much. They have cured my issue 100%!
I know a lot of ppl are all about looks. To me, the fangs look good. The older style fangs....ummmm, not so much. So, hopefully this helps someone who may be having the same issue as me. They cost $160....may be pricey for some, but they are worth it to me. The view from the cockpit seems to be the one that really makes them visible.
I see a lot of buffeting threads and I wish ppl would stop telling ppl that their remedy is a better shield .......in a lot of cases, the wind is coming from underneath the fairing and sometimes the helmet. And some ppl just have no issues at all.
Be Blessed
