Default Seat Pads

I have a 01 RK with a Sundowner seat and I was looking at seat pads. I see them from air pads to gel, and some are quite pricey. I would like to only buy once so what pad is worth the money?

Give mean city cycles a call. They modify seats. I personally don’t have one done by them , but I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I was also looking at seats and pads and landed on using a sheep skin cover. It has been awesome for my wife and I. It provides cushion and breathes nicely. I thought the look was odd but once you ride with it you forget about he look. I bought the long hair version and just throw it over the seat with out Hooks or straps. I would say on super hot days in stop and go traffic you still will sweat but I don’t think anything could help there.

Good luck

I have read about them before but never could see how that can be done over the phone or net.

The AirHawk seems interesting.
I am also dealing with prostate issues which limits my ride time.

Exclamation

I have an air cushion, similar to an Airhawk. It works reasonably well, but is as ugly as sin! As you have very personal problems I recommend you look for a local custom upholsterer to visit and work with.

Here ya go - even I can find them, from across the Atlantic:

My wife loves hers. It literally doubled the miles she could sit still.

they are right down the street and I now send upholstery customers to them. I have a custom canvas shop and I also use to do upholstery for many years so I tried reworking a few seats. Although I am not hot on how the AirHawk would look, if it extends my comfort and ride time I can deal with that.

Air Hawk is the best pad I ever tried. Now on my second Air Hawk after wearing out the first. The secret to getting the best performance out of the Air Hawks is to use the least amount of air possible. I know that sounds wrong, but it is true....
