That's an excellent torque curve! Great stuff.

I agree with the cyclerama 570. Pending you don't have a crumby exhaust to ruin it all, that cam with a good tune will perform like a (maybe even better) solid stage 1 110".

And if you can get it to Sheffer Performance, he knows that cam better than anyone. Overall a highly regarded tuner and great guy.

I already had the stage 1 completed... Hyper Charger/full Rush exhaust...2014 SG. I went with the HD SE-259 cam kit (#25482-10) and the Power Vision for the tuner. That set up gave me 91HP and 102 ftlbs torque. It's doing it's work between 2500 and 4500 RPM. You'll want to go with adjustable push rods and change out your cam bearing to the Screaming Eagle cam bearing...

If you look at a cam upgrade as numbers only you aren't looking at it the right way. It's all about the curve, not the final numbers. The curve is what makes it a different bike and makes it so fun to ride. I have 57's in my 2012 and did the work myself. I was very happy with the end results.

I agree with everyone that in order to do a PROPER cam job, you should ABSOLUTLY replace the lifters pushrods. I am not denying that at all.

I also agree that it is not about the money to output ratio.

What I AM saying is that, much like the OP, I had to take a look at what mattered. OP doesn't want to want to change a lot of internals. He wants to stay stock there but put a cam in. So to me, that reads that there is budget in mind. When I get the money, I will ABSOLUTLY to a cam job with all supporting internal mods that should and need to be done.

So if it comes down to budget, wait the cam out until all other parts can be purchased and installed.

If I am reading into that too much, please forgive me and I will shut my trap. It tends to get me into situations.......
