Out here in Washington you just put your kick stand down and head for coffee. Motorcycles are first on and first off!

Done several ferries ( no, not that way ) and all required tying the scooter ... you never know when the winds will start.

I prefer the Lake Express which is located in Muskegon. Much faster and of course I live in Muskegon so very convenient.

We enjoyed riding the old coal steamer last year so we wanted to ride it again only without kids along. Also, we will be heading north into Canada to ride around Lake Superior.

Went last year, you need to bring 2 ratchet straps to tie down to the metal grating that the bike is parked on. Plenty solid, I had my Ultra and a trailer parked side by side.

They are very helpful getting you staged. If you bring food it must stay on the bike so we ate sandwiches while we were waiting to board. There is food and drink on board as well as entertainment and TV's. We spent the trip inside as it was a little chilly that day but a very relaxing trip.

The Badger is a rather spartan "no frills" ride but it gets the job done ... I haven't taken the "Lake Express"

You're taking a trip to Mackinac Island...that won't require anything as vehicles are not allowed on the island..

the only fuel power vehicles i ever saw on mackinac island were forklifts on the ferry dock area and there were a few construction backhoes used for building purposes. other than that motor vehicles are not allowed.
