I've got a vibration/shaking while front braking (above 30mph) that I can't figure out. I had the rotors tested for warping, they're good, put new pads on, bled the brake lines and still have the vibration. I don't feel anything in the lever but the fairing shakes (checked everything in there...all seems good) Back brakes are fine. Not sure where to go. It's a 2012 Street Glide with just under 20K on it. Steering bearing? Forks?
I'm checking the steering bearing next but thought I would ask for thoughts in case I missed something?
Thanks
Wheel bearings? My rotors on my 09 ultra showed they were in spec but I changed them out with Wilwood front rotors and Lyndall pads and the problem went away.
I was going to mention that you should check the steering head bearing but thats next on your list. Ive heard of the neck adjustment coming slightly on the loose side from the dealers so it may have loosened up a little more over those 20k miles or so. Was it checked at the 10k service?

No it wasn't. I'm doing the steering bearing today or tomorrow. It would be nice if that cleared it up....
Might be a dumb question on the 012 but by chance does it have the ABS brakes Because if it does over 25 when the ABS activates it produces a pulsing sensation
No...no ABS. It's a 2012 with an Enforcer (2014) front wheel. I put the wheel on 2 years ago with no issues til now.

I was thinking that as well but its as smooth as butter accelerating and at highway speeds even at 100mph. Just happens when braking. The faster I'm going the worse it is......but at lower speeds I don't feel anything???? A local indy tested my rotors and said them were good. I really have no clue. I was wondering wheel bearings?
