07 RK Classic w/security won't start
My buddy just changed the battery and now his bike won't start. He bought the bike just before Christmas and has had it running a few times. He changed out the bike battery and now this happened.
He has put in a new battery in his FOB, also checked it good with a volt meter. He gets a 12:00 sometimes and sometimes 1111 in his fob. The red security light is flashing. Anyone have any solutions?

It's not recognizing the fob. Make sure the fob battery is in right. Trust me it happens. Did he miss one of the leads going to the battery. Make sure no other electronics are near the fob. On my 07 some cell phones mess up the signal for the fob. Move garage door openers and cell phones at least 10 feet away. Put the fob on the seat and the red key light should stop flashing. If all else fails PM me and I will give you the generic 07 code to manually over ride the system. That way you can ensure that it's not something else besides the security system. As long as someone hasn't changed it. Some dealers change it as do some owners . I did
