Question Relay in heated handgrip circuit?

I have a 2014 FLHTK and the heated handgrips work intermittently.

When they don't work I have to turn off the ignition, then turn it on again to fire up the handgrips.
I think this behavior is consistent with a sticky relay.
I asked my Harley tech about this who said " there is no relay in the heated handgrip circuit - the switch is directly wired to the handgrips".

Who is correct? Me or the tech? Does the heated handgrip circuit contain a relay in parallel with the handgrip switch or not?

I think the tech is correct.

According to the wiring diagrams for my 16 there is a P&A relay that power the heated hand grips.

When I wired my grips I had to buy an accessory power harness and plug it into the BCM receptacle under the left side cover and run it up the spine under the tank and hard wire to the grips, no relays in that system. Mine has never done that. When you turn the ignition off and on it powers up the ECM and BCM to control the vehicle. There could be a relay in the BCM but I don't know about that.

24v is right the P&A relay powers the grips. It also powers the front power outlet. Next time it happens plug something into the power outlet and see if it is dead too.
