Default Front End Wobble...

I feel a little bit of wobble in the bars when I get up to highway speeds... its very slight and at first I thought it was my imagination but I felt it again today around 65mph. Although It's very slight its just a bit unnerving. Has anyone else ever experienced this? What could it be?

My wide glide used to do this when the front tire was worn. Replaced it and the wobble went away

Thanks for the reply.I am assuming it can't be this with my bike. It a brand new 07 with less than 1,000 miles on it so far. The tire is practically brand new. Although I must add that these tires that come stock with the bike aren't the greatest. I am looking forward to a replacement down the road.

Check the air persure in your tires, that will do it almost every time if they are low. Or it could be out of balance.

You may want to, at your service, check the steering head and tighten it up if other avenues don't correct the situation.

Thanks notorious. I will be bringing it in for the 1,000 mile service soon. I will definitely have that checked as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have the same problem with my 07 RK Custom
front wheel. Had it in for service twice, takin it to a different dealer
to find the real problem not consistant band-aids

I have this occurring with my '05 Ultra on the highway.

THE WIND may be the culprit.

I have had a Roadking and now an Ultra Classic and they both would shake the head. It depends on the road surface and direction of the wind. I keep max tire pressure on my Metzler tiresand max shock pressure on my bike and I find it helps some. Of course check wheel balance, rear wheel alighnment, and steering head "fall away". My mechanic at Powerstroke Performance in Tempe AZ has fixed a lot of FL's with Racetech gold emulator valves and springs in the front forks. harley owners are famous for spending thousands on inceased horepower but little in the stopping and handling dept.......
