Do you have the device? Have you personally downloaded the software and altered a map and flashed a tune on a bike with the orange super tuner?
It's not opinion, it still works just as it did before the EPA debacle. You don't have to believe me, go ahead and try it out yourself.
yes I have the device. I also have several versions of the software including the latest. But I only use the 2012 version software. I just change the date and it does not require an update be done. I have looked at updated software and on the surface it only has tunes for the most recent year bikes added, so why is it mandatory to update software if you have no need of tuning files for newer bikes, I ask.
so why should I go ahead and try the latest software when the older version works just fine?
The new software was not missing any tunes in my experience, at all. It worked just as the old software did.
In other words, works fine.
BS. The 2010 version did not have tuning files for the 2011, 2011 did not have 2012 and so on.
Do you actually have the tuner and look at the software when it updates as to what it says is new.
It's been mentioned already, but in the midst of the arguments just wanted to reiterate that going from a true dual setup to a 2-1 is a drastic change. I would get it tuned ASAP.
I honestly dont know much about any of the tuning stuff. First bike without a carb.
Its an orange plastic rectangle that says Screamin Eagle on it, in a small white box. I didn't get anything else...when you say software, is there supposed to be a CD with it or something?
As for the dyno...best guy around is booked til MID JULY so calling around....cant have it sit for 3 more months. Ugh.

does it have a black button? If not then it is an older SERT which is much more difficult to get software for.
Yes the early version came with a CD. If you do not have that then you would have to download the most current software.
