just curious to see what everyone is running for highway pegs?
I finally bought a 17 road glide special, need the highway pegs for long distance comfort. Interested to see what you guys got. I'm 6' tall and wanna be comfortable.

Initially tried a couple of Internet cheapies, but eventually ended up with HD's Streamliner Footpegs and the 360 Adjustable Highway Peg Mount Kit. Not cheap, but I sure like them.

I have the HD short angle mounts and the chrome and rubber XL pegs. I bought them because I like the looks and knew the mount would get the pegs where I needed them for comfort. I didn't even think to look where they were made. I assume HD contracts out to the lowest bidder for stuff like that.

I have them positioned where I can rest my heels on the foot board and my toes on the peg, or stretch out with my heels on the pegs. It took a little experimentation and a couple test rides to get the right position.

Cowboydoc, I have been trying to decide which mount kit to buy. I think I'm going with the one you bought, the short angled one. But how does the LONG angled one differ? Does it just stretch out the pegs farther away from the bike so that longer leg folks can FULLY stretch out their legs?
And what does the "adjustable" in the description mean? What is adjustable on them?

the Short angle is for taller guys. Longer legs. The long is for shorter legs. The long sweeps back further for better reach. I'm 5'10" 32" I seam and use the long ones. They're perfect. I can rest my heal on the board and my toes on the peg. Feet on the pegs. Ankle over the leg. A lot of room to adjust.

the adjustment they say is an up and down which in turn will give you an in and out (closer vs farther adjustment. My bike is an RGS. I added the lowers.

Sounds kinda backwards at first, but when you think more about it, it makes sense.

Running these 360* Curved Mounts and running these Fatty pegs with heel rests...the heel rests make BIG difference in Comfort/variety of positions, the larger diameter is more comfortable also.
