Break squeal

put a 21 inch fat spoke dna wheel on bike and new pads and the breaks squeal very loud. Any advice to make stop squealing.2016 road king

did you put brake disc quiet behind the pads before installing or lube up the brake components????

I tried everything to get rid of brake squeal. Disk brake quiet on the rear of the pads worked for a while....but eventually returned.

After much research and frustration I used high temp grease on the contact area on the back of the pads. It works, and the squeal never returned.
Its caused by high frequency vibration between the pads and pistons and the grease eliminates it.

I did the same on my RK for the rear. Used high temp ball bearing grease on rear of pads and also on the pin. Lightly sanded the glazed areas on the rotor. No squeals again.

I just installed new rotors (all 3) on my 05 Ultra. I only had about 2,000 miles on the brake pads so I didn't replace those. The pads never came off of the calipers but the front is singing like crazy when I come to a stop. Would removing the pads and applying the disc quiet work for me? I'm going to remove the pads and scuff them up a little to take the glaze off.
