Auto Shut Down?
I was on the motorcycle a couple hours today in hot weather. While I was riding down the road, it completely shut off. No power to anything. It was like someone turned off the ignition switch. I pushed it to a shaded area and checked all the fuses. After about 15 minutes, turned the ignition on and everything lit up. It started but wouldn't idle to I turned it off for another 5 minutes or so. It started without issue and hasn't had any issues since. Did it just overheat and trigger a safety auto shut off?
Year and model?
Yea.......that doesn't sound good!!
(they don't all do that...)
Check all the primary cables from battery to starter to fuse box....clean and tighten with dielectric grease....
I still have no clue but ya gotta start somewhere......never heard of that......

Years ago some touring bikes would do that when the main circuit breaker would heat up, thermal breakdown. A TSB was issued to change the C/B and even going up one level from the standard amp rating, for example 35A up to 40A. With that being said check with your dealer on this.
rather than continue to answer this in different threads read this and I believe you might have an answer
