I would pay $40.00 in a heartbeat for someone to change the rear tire for me. That is a good deal to remove muffler, mount and balance tire, install, adjust belt tension, and reinstall muffler.

Yup. It’s definatley NOT worth the time and PITA to pull the wheels yourself. When an Indy charges $100 or even $150 it’s worth it in my book. Last time I pulled the wheels and brought them in for mounting thinking I’d save some $$. No thanks. I enjoy working on my bike but I’ll pass on this one.

2015 Ultra Limited, not same bike, but just had rear tire replaced $411 total parts and labor.

Here in AZ land the average is 250 to 280 at dealers, I do not think they have ever removed a muffler mount, they just pull the axel. Talking about a 2000 FLHT.
