Default AIr intake and exhaust need a computer flash

I am wanting to put a set of COBRA slip-ons and an aftermarket air filter on my 2015. Is it necessary to re-flash the computer in order to see improvements in performance and MPG? A programmer is over $300!!! Does it make that much of a difference?

Yes, it does, by changing the intake you are added more air to an already lean motor. Get tuner and be done with it.

A lot of Forum folks just put on the slip-ons, and don't change the air filter at all, it will flow all the air a Stage-I needs.
Like anything with a factory tune, it's lean by nature, a tuner with an auto tune will get it there, +1 what hbsolder3 said.

As the others have said, yes, you will need to compensate for the added air flowing thru your system. If all you want is improved sound, slip on mufflers will run OK without a tuner, BUT, would benefit from one. Anything above that will make your motor run too lean. Keep in mind the manufacturers run engines lean to meet the EPA regulations. On my carberated bikes, living in Colorado, the high I went, the worse they ran with s strong smell of gas. They were too rich. On FI bikes, there is some compensation for this, but not enough to skip a tuner.

You most likely will see a reduction in mpg, But the trade off is more power = more fun. Plus lose the slight bog or hesitation on off idle acceleration

Also consider if this is the only modification to the intake and exhaust you will ever do, you should be good with a "flash". If you are like me and you might try different exhaust or intake, or even add cams later on, you might consider one like thundermax or Power vision or fuelpak with auto tune. So you don't have to keep flashing and flashing.
