Do your bikes "load up" and even backfire through the exhaust when you give it gas from low revs and the motor is hot? I have to keep my revs up, then everything is OK. Starting from a stop I have to give it more revs then use the clutch gently...
Is this happening on your bikes? Seems a natural, given a cam that moves the power band up.

Itmay be a 96" thing. I have an 09 Road King and I noticed I have to give it more throttle when pulling out from a stop. Seems to lug a little if I don't have the revs up. Never had to do that with any of my other HDs.

Sounds to me like the tune is lacking.... needs some work...
