So I have a 2016 Road King with V&H 2-1-2 Headpipe, 4.5" HiOutput Slip-ons and a V&H air cleaner with the FP3 tuner. I am about to do the Fuel Moto street outlaw big bore kit along with the variable clutch. So it will go from 103ci to 110 with performance cams and head porting. I've had everything quoted (4k installed) and am about to bring her in for the work tomorrow. I'm getting a little bit of last minute jitters and wanted to ask anyone that may have experience with a similar build if they personally think it is worth it? Would you change anything if you could go back? Is there anything I should look at instead of Fuel Moto? I just want to do it right the first time. Any input is appreciated. Thanks guys
I did FM's 107" on my bike (myself) a few years ago, and it's been beyond impressive. If you're going bigger, AND having them install it.....sheesh, I think you're going to be ALL smiles for a long time to come. There are builders across the country that might be as good, but I know of none I'd feel more confident in having the work done for me if I weren't doing it myself.
I would have said that if you have a stock 103HO, just adding cams, full exhaust, tuner would yield great results. But you already have some light mods and seeing how you're driving distance to Fuel Moto (and boy, am I jealous) and you have the budget, go for it.
I have only used Fuel Moto for my engine mods, I did all the work (air filter, slip ons, PC-V) and only had to outsource the Wood cam install to a local NorCal indy shop.
Fuel Moto is a first class shop and you're in great hands.

It is worth every penny! I did a similar build but with S&S 110 kit this spring and WOW what a difference my bike it. It's all smiles now at the twist of the throttle. You will not be disappointed!
Thank you! Unfortunately, FuelMoto was booked until mid September. Seeing as though I was hoping to play around a bit this summer, I opted to have Fornarelli Motorsports do the work. They came highly reccomended by Fuel Moto and Alex over there at Fornarelli's was super awesome to talk to and I really can't wait to meet him.
Either installers should do a great job, I just did the SE 110 kit and can't stop smiling. Every time I get on the bike I want to ride all the way to California. The 103 is nice but the 110 is a rock star.
I am on the same boat. I am doing the 107 outlaw. I needed a bigger tb.and injectors which added $600 to the bill and the proper tuner Pvc with tt which is another $800 had the fp3 before.. yes it gets expensive quick /ac/exhaust/tuner.

I believe I will need a new throttle body as well. I really can't get over the fact that I wasted $300 on the FP3 though. Seems ridiculous to buy another tuner.

You can keep your stock throttle body on your bike. I kept mine and I have road a 110 with a bigger throttle body and my bike is much snappier than his and pulls on his bike. Both are around the same HP and TQ and both are street glides. My opinion don't waste the money on a new TB for very minimal gains.
The only down side, in my experience, in running that much torque (130+) on a stock bottom end and primary is it's going to cost you in parts in the long run. Especially if you like to hammer the the throttle which is almost impossible to avoid when you are making that much power because it's so damn fun. Those parts were designed to handle around 85 HP and 100 TQ. Increase that by around 30% and you are break stuff or wear it out prematurely. (ask me how I know)
I'm currently working on a buddies '14 Softail Deluxe and talked him out of the Outlaw Kit in favor of the standard 107 kit with level B heads. Still a huge improvement over stock. I told him if he really wanted to go the Outlaw route we should have his crank trued, balanced and welded, add a Timken conversion, install a Baker comp, Baker chain adjuster and a beefier clutch. He relented.
