TOMTOM rider
I ordered my from buydig.com
I went with the 2 to 3 day delivery. I think it was about 17 or 18 $ for shipping.
The total was $696.00
I got an e-mail tonight with the confirmation that my zumo 550 was shipped today (Friday).
I'm hoping to get well used to it before my next long distance trip aroung the 16th of July.
I finally went to the garmin site and looked thru the zumo 550 manuals. They were pretty straight forward and helpful. It doesn't look to hard, but there always seems to be a murphy factor.
So, it's time that will once again tell.

Managed to get it registered online.
I got the batteries all charged up and played with it in the house.
LOL I went 0.4 miles in my house tonight.
I'll try it out in my car tomorrow to get used to the buttons.
Then I'll try it out on the bike.
It might be a little while before I get to the MP3 player, but I'll get there.
Thanks again forthe help I got from other hdf members

I use the Garmin Nuvi 360, same as the Zumu 550 (options) but not water proof. I run it through the radio to hear it. or head phones.
Those pictures show a real clean installation of the zumo.
Does your power hard wire come up thru the inner fairing?
Was the zumo to aux cable the same one thatWags1 wrote about above?
Did you needthe isolated cable?
Did you need the adapter to have sound on both sides of the stereo?
thanks

<---- gets lost a lot and doesn't care
Maybe late, but not lost. Not all that sure that I would care to be lost.
Worst case for me is that it took longer or even much longer to get some where I wanted to be. But I don't like being late when someone is waiting for me. I am usually the first guy there or at least early. I don't like waiting for the habitual tardy riders either. I find that most tardy riders don't care even when others are waiting.

I picked up the Garmin 2610 just this week from here www.edgegps.com for $215 delivered. I just wasn't sure that the otehrs are worth $400 more to me.
I have logged in many many milesriding all over while my riding buddy had the same 2610 that you're talking about. I worked great. In fact after thousands of miles reaping the benefits of his gps I decided to get my own. But after all the research I finally decided to go with the zumo 550. I'm glad I did but I can say that you will ride with a very dependable gps with the garmin 2610.
