Heading out west in a couple of weeks on a road glide and iIwas looking at the bags that slip down over the passengers backrest and sit on the rear seat (traveling solo) anyone got any experience with these? H-D or kuryakyn?
Picked up a RalleyPack Roller bagfrom Dowco for a trip to the Keys.
Worked great including the rain cover that was needed.
Road two up but it will also fit for solo. It has two large velcro straps to wrap around the sissy bar and two small buckles that are tucked away in a small zippered compartment on either side of the bag to strap to a luggage rack or sissy bar
Hadmore than enoughroom for two for the weekend. 2cuft of space with lots of outside pockets.
I've got the Kuryakyn Full Dresser bag. Been pleased with it. Put it on the rack when traveling two-up. Turn it around and put it on the pillion when riding solo. It has a hard plastic liner that's divided into two shelves inside. With this hard shell on the inside it holds it's shape even if you don't have it packed totally full which makes it work well as a backrest when it's on the passenger seat. I did an Iron Butt ride a few weeks ago and I put the bag behind me to use as a backrest even though I didn't have anything in it. It saved me, I felt pretty good at the end of the ride, back was in good shape.
I have the kuryakyn full dresser bag. It's works great for us. It's rugged material and rugged zippers and clips. Water resistant as is, and completely waterproof with the supplied cover. Includes plastic shelving inside the bag. Easy to take on and off the bike and has wheels like regular luggage.
I have the Kuryakyn Ultra Tour Bag http://kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3522
It's a great and very well made bag (especially for the price). As long as it's on the luggage rack it's fine but if I put it on the passenger's seat it pushes metoo far forward.
