Bought the harbor freight tag-a-long trailer for my trip to Sturgis and Yellowstone. Wanted to get a few runs in before I go that distance. We had a wedding to attend in DE, so I figured the 600 mile round trip would be a good practice run.
the trailer pulls well, and once your not thinking about it, you do forget it’s back there. Thee were no points where it hindered my riding except for in the parking garage. It was tight looping up and down, but it cleared no problem.
i was schooled by the fine folks here on the forum to remove one of the leaf springs, and I did not follow that advice. I now know why, that sucker bounces when you hit big bumps. I’ll bet softening the suspension up will tame that down a bit. Honestly the bouncing bothered my wife cause she could see it since she was riding her own behind me. I could not feel it happening..
one last thing, I but the H-D blind spot mirrors on, and I gotta say, they really help keeping an eye on it.
all in all a good trip, with the exception of the hotel the bridal party chose, it was one of those ritzy 5 star places. -that’s not my thing. Nothing came with the room, not even free coffee, and they wanted to charge big bucks for everything, and anything.

Why would you need so much stuff?
We go most every year two up ...she gets most the trunk and one saddle bag.
I get the other saddlebag where the tools go, a qt of oil and an extra gallon of gas.
Sometimes I infiltrate "her section" LOL
dont feel bad-I see trailers all the time...I just don't understand.

I am hauling my camping gear on my out west trip, tent camping at the chip, plus clothes for 2 weeks.
Tire pressure reduction can also help with the balancing. You don't have the weight load on those tires that they are rated for at pressures like 30 psi.
Okiedokie.. you a real serious camper?
I just bring a two-man tent.
Carry on.
I didnt share my experience with the trailer to debate why I am pulling it, or how I camp. I simply wanted to share my first trip with the trailer fo those who may be interested.
