Slip ons
I was telling a guy today I want to install a set of slip ons on my 2012 ultra limited he said I need to remove my cats before i install them or they will be to hot is this right.
Think of it this way, your stock mufflers are essentially slip ons if you can remove them and slip other mufflers on.
You’re running cats in the headers already so what difference will it make with different mufflers with regards to heat? Probably none.

I have the 2011 limited. Put slip-ons first. 6 months later. Took out the cat For heats sake. 6 months later bought a tuner and a high flow air cleaner. I could keep going but I think you get the point. Taking the cat out is not required but IMO better. If your state does emission testing on motorcycles. Leave it in.
