Was riding Honda and Kawasaki. I was wiggling the bars to try and free them up. Wouldn’t move. Nothing to do with counter steering as there basically was no steering.
I just brought a 2010 Ultra Classic and when I was ridding at about 70mph the steering froze up and unresponsive. At slower speeds there was no problem. I hit 70 a couple more times and the same thing happened. I drifted across 3 lanes in front of a car that was approaching at a higher speed. As you can imagine this was a little scary. After slowing down the steering appeared OK. The 3rd time I was wiggling the bars trying to manovour with no luck. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Can you more clearly describe your experience? When you say "froze up" do you mean that the bike would only track straight ahead regardless of how firmly you pulled (or pushed) the handlebars?
Correct. The first and second time I was changing lanes. The 3 rd time I was about to come off a off ramp. I made the manouver slight adjustment to move and the bars wouldn’t move for about 1 to 2 seconds
