Yesterday 10 miles on the OD, Today 513 when I parked ...and does Bubub rock. I was up in the Sierra Nevada moutains today and I was whippin through the twisties on cruise control. I thought that when I rode my Harley, my lean angle would be severly limited but boy was I wrong. I was LEANING andI was surprised at how easy this bike is to countersteer... talk about flickable. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! (BTW I call her Bubub - short for Bububububububub)
I had expected a rather dull, slowbut comfortable ride. Maybe it had something to do with my bike being called a AARP-Glide, but I am so happily disappointed. The way some people talked about the bike on this forum, I thought it was a fragile, anemic, slow moving bike with lots of challenges. Sure, it makes some noise, so I just bumped up the RPMs and the noise subsided. Excessive heat? Where? ...all I can say is DAYUM!!! What a ride. I was even able to countersteer using my fingertips in some situations. Amazing how the gyroscpoic effect really works at speed.

Oh yeah - the sweet spots between 3500 - 4000rpm
sounds like a great time, and most bikes for the average rider will steer close to the same......
But I would strongly not recommend using cruise through any kind of twisties. You should be on and off the throttle while riding for proper technique and you never know when you may come to a decreasing radius turn where you might have over shot a bit and need to use something other then constant speed.

vegashd is right BUT I didn't keep it on the whole way. As you who have driven betweenAuburn and Reno know, most of that
section of I80 is 2 lanes. So, I had to back off the cruise control
when I came up on slow moving sport bikes and trucksin my path or when the roadway was otherwise obstructed. Most of my "cruise control" use was on the 4 lane portions through Sacramento and Roseville and the downhill portion into Verdi BUTI still had a GREAT TIME.
